As a long-time sufferer of anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia, I’m always interested in trying something new to see if it works. The Chill Pill is a small handheld device designed to provide natural relief for mental health issues through electrotherapy stimulation. I gave the Chill Pill a thorough test run for two weeks before writing this, and was impressed by the results. I found it to be very effective for panic attacks, not as helpful though for insomnia.
If you use sleeping pills on a regular basis, you probably already know they’re not a smart long-term solution. But you may not be fully aware of the dangers they bring.
According to experts, using sleeping pills is a dangerous choice for many reasons. If you use them to fall asleep, be sure to read this Chill Pill Review until the end – because there’s now a new option that can help you enjoy deep, restful sleep without the need for drugs.
What is The Chill Pill, and how does it help you sleep?
The Chill Pill is a popular new handheld device that uses Electrotherapy to help reduce insomnia.
To put it simply, Electrotherapy seeks to restore balance to your brain’s neurochemicals by delivering pulses of low-intensity currents to your body.
These currents are created by holding a small handheld device that emits electronic waves. These waves send a message to your brain that it’s time to relax and sleep.
This form of therapy is completely safe to use and 100% drug-free.
And before you say it: Electrotherapy is NOT the same as electroshock therapy! In fact, Electrotherapy delivers such a small amount of electricity that most patients cannot even feel it.
This safe, effective method has been used since the 1970s as a natural way to treat insomnia… but there’s a reason you haven’t heard of it: Sleeping pills started hitting the market around the same time.
With Electrotherapy devices, you only have to buy the product once. With sleeping pills, you need to keep coming back for refills. Is it really a surprise that the $65 billion sleeping pill industry decided to sweep this safer, more affordable alternative under the rug?
“Remember, Big Pharma spends over $6.5 billion a year on advertising,” says Cheyenne Kingrea, founder of The Chill Pill. “So even though most users agree it’s a better alternative than sleeping pills, it’s hard to compete with that kind of budget.”

Benefits Of Chill Pill
I suffer from panic attacks, and I absolutely hate them. They are confusing and frustrating because they come on with no warning and for no reason. Sure sometimes it’s for obvious reason like public speaking, but the ones that happen when I’m just doing normal things are incredibly annoying to me. They make me feel helpless, and unfortunately if they spiral out of control then I can’t breath and feel like I’m literally dying. I feel like I now have a secret weapon to help pull me out of the panic attack spiral after testing it out in a real life situation.
It came on like a wave of fear. All I was doing was sitting and chatting with my husband on the patio. Suddenly my heart started beating faster and the world around me sounded fuzzy. I felt heavy and weird. My husband was talking but I couldn’t really respond, so I just blurted out “I’m having a panic attack again for no reason” and sank down into my chair and tried to breath slowly. That’s when I remembered the Chill Pill. Problem was, it was inside the house and I had to decide what would be worse- running in to get it, or trying to explain to my husband where to find it. I opted for making a mad dash to the front door myself.
I grabbed the Chill Pill, sat down and cranked it up so I could feel it right away. Once I got a good zap that got my attention, I dialed it down to a reasonable level and just sat for a moment, trying to concentrate on the sensation in my hand and not in my chest. I tried to focus on the little pulse in my palm, while holding it first in my left hand as the directions instruct. It’s timed at 20 minutes and if you are still anxious after that, you are supposed to do it again in your right hand.
As the electronic waves pulsed and drew my mind away from the chaotic frenzy of the panic attack, I started to feel my heart rate slow and go back to normal. After a short time, I was able to go back to the patio and enjoy my evening, as I discreetly kept my little Chill Pill tucked into my palm.
I was so impressed at its effect that I decided to try and use it to head off the anxiety when speaking to a group. I did a zoom presentation about being an author and a Q & A for a group of school children, and as I spoke, I held the Chill Pill in my hand. It was like a tiny rhythmic reminder to chill out and relax.
Long-term Benefits Advantages
To obtain a more overall, long-term benefit, The Chill Pill is recommended for daily use. One 20 min. morning session, in your left hand and one evening session before you go to sleep. For the evening session, it is ok to fall asleep with it in your hand. It will shut off on its own.
I haven’t been able to really tell if it works for insomnia, because I really like to read before bed. And I find I can get to sleep if I shut the book as soon as I feel a little hint of sleepy and clear my mind. I found the little pulse distracts me a bit from getting to sleep and I found myself awake again and wanting to read more.
So I tried holding it while I was reading to see if I could reap the benefits and get my reading in. I can’t give a clear yes or no on whether it is working for better sleep just yet, but I will continue to test it out. The instructions say significant changes in sleep patterns may take 2-7 days of consistent use before you notice a difference.

What Founders Say About Chill Pill?
We’re on a mission to make safe, all-natural relief accessible to all. Chill Pill co-founder Cheyenne Kingrea struggled with anxiety and insomnia her entire adult life – and for years, she relied on pills to relieve her symptoms.
She struggled with the side effects of drugs and wanted a non-invasive way to help her manage the worst parts of her anxiety and insomnia, without contaminating her body with unknown or synthetic substances. In her research, she discovered that Electrotherapy Stimulation has been used effectively for decades – but it’s been swept under the rug by Big Pharma’s $6 billion advertising budget.3
After trying Electrotherapy once, she was sold! The only problem? The devices on the market were way too expensive and bulky! So she worked tirelessly to mass market a portable, easy-to-use, and affordable device… and that’s how the Chill Pill was born!
Chill Pill Review Update:
I never did get used to using it for sleep, but still find it useful for moments of anxiety. I’ve had several comments from people having trouble feeling the pulse. It can be tricky at first, but once you learn to hold it it’s easy. You need to give it a minute after you turn it on to get going. I’ve noticed you can’t really feel it right away after you turn it on, like it needs to build up power first.
First – Turn it up! There is a button on the side where you can increase the intensity. This can help you find your spot before turning it down so you aren’t getting a big zap.
Next – Try holding it so the silver dot goes directly over the spot between your thumb and first finger, rather than the center of your hand. I can almost always get a good little pulse in that spot. Try those two things and you shouldn’t have a problem feeling the little pulse!
I’ve also been getting a lot of questions about using it for insomnia, and as I mentioned above, it did not help me with that. I have always had problems with insomnia and have had good luck with this melatonin: Solimo Melatonin. I take 3 or 4 of them, sit down in bed to read and as soon as I feel the effect hit I turn off my Kindle and try to clear my mind and go to sleep. If you don’t try to sleep at the first hint they have kicked in, then you miss the magic window and they don’t work. Unfortunately when I tried the Chill Pill at night, the little zap actually kept me awake. But I do honestly recommend trying the Chill Pill for anxiety and panic attacks.
